The Kemi Obaditan Foundation is a nongovernmental organization that aims to empower Nigerian Students, provide them with access to justice and scholarship opportunities. The foundation supports students on a need basis.
The Foundation was founded in 2016 as a response to a realization that a handful of Nigerian students have had to drop out of college due to the institutionalised injustice in Nigerian institutions. A lot of the time, these students are dismissed or expelled without as much as a fair hearing as guaranteed under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended). Therefore, one of the goals of this Foundation is to provide these students with the necessary resources to defend themselves and obtain a fair hearing before any decision is made against them by the educational institutions in Nigeria and to ensure that these institutions obey and abide by the rule of law and their respective bylaws.
The methodology to be employed by the Foundation is the application of available resources from volunteer attorneys and advocates as well as other professionals for the benefit of the students. The Foundation will maintain a record of available resources (both skill and finance) and apply them to open cases on need basis.
The Foundation is happy to receive support from individuals, corporations, governments and other non-governmental organizations both financially and non-financially in order to reach its goals.
